I’ve always really loved bold prints and vibrant colors as accent pieces in a home. After numerous searches, I’ve come across a very unexpected source for affordable pieces like these: Target. Yep, the same store I buy my toothpaste also has really great home decor pieces! I remember furnishing my college dorm room with decorative accents from Target, but my house? Well, thanks to a slew of designers that have now partnered with the big box store, it’s actually a great source for finding chic and modern designs.
Talk about bright and bold! Right now I’m totally digging prints in a large scale format with vibrant tones like yellow and turquoise. These chairs are great accent pieces in a living room, den, and even a bedroom.
Bedding can be a major focal point in a bedroom, so why not spice it up with prints? Grey is a really popular color right now and looks great with almost any brighter tones to create balance in a space.
Probably the easiest way to add interest in a space is with accent pillows. These pieces will be your most inexpensive solution and can easily be switched out if you ever get tired of the design.
Now that we’ve begun doing some work in the living room, Target is definitely on my list of places to find inspiration for home decorating ideas.
